May 17-26, 2026 Melbourne, AR Medical & Bible Conference
We had a great trip blessed by the Lord. We were able to provide free clinics at schools (Samanacruz, Monte Sion, Dulce Nombre de Jesus, Manzanas). We saw more than 1200 patients providing thousands of doses of needed medications and vitamins, reading glasses and dental evaluations and extractions as needed. Also we were able to bring a little joy by taking pictures, doing crafts with the children, and passing out toys. We were sharing God’s by caring and passing out his word in the form of hundreds of New Testaments.
Then on Saturday we headed to the market to buy food for 10 needy families. We divided up in teams to visit these families, deliver the food and household items & Bibles, and pray with them. One family included a mom with 3 children, one son was blind. Another family included a teenage son with cerebral palsy. His room is on the second floor of the home and the mom carries him up and down the stairs and then carries him to wherever she is working washing clothes for families. Another family included a grandmother taking care of 2 kids whose father was killed in a construction accident. There was no mention of a mom. Another family included a young mom with ovarian cancer. It isn’t much, but hopefully the food provided will give these families a little relief for a few weeks.
The members of the team responsible for the Bible conference worked with the medical clinics for the first two days and then Thursday-Saturday helped provide Bible teaching at Monte Sion Baptist Church for more than 150 pastors and church leaders, some traveling quite a distance and staying the nights at the church, from many congregations including several mission churches. Crafts and activities were provided for their children. We were able to give small gifts to all the attendees.
On Sunday our entire group was blessed to join with more than 300 people to celebrate the anniversary of Monte Sion Church, which was started with the help of Larry Johnson and former missionary and founder of Villa Milagro. The joyous service included the Lord’s Supper, 8 baptisms and a meal to follow.
May the Lord continue to bless all the work and seeds planted to bring glory to Himself.
